How this is funded
Most crypto “top 10” pages are paid for by the services they rank. The link you click is worth money to whoever published the list, and the ranking tends to reflect that. This page exists so you can check whether we are different, rather than take our word for it.
The ratings section
- No affiliate links. No link in the ratings section pays us if you sign up. Links to providers go to their own pages and carry
nofollow. - No paid placements. No service can buy a position, a mention, or a better score. There is no rate card because there is nothing to sell.
- No review copies, no sponsored access. We measure public endpoints and public status pages, the same ones you can open.
- Owner conflicts are excluded outright. Any service owned by or affiliated with this site’s owner does not appear in the ratings at all — not scored, not listed, not compared. That is broader than a disclaimer, and it settles the independence question rather than annotating it.
Why we bother
Not taking money is not a sacrifice here — it is the whole point. It is what lets a rating say that the largest exchange in the world publishes no status feed and cannot demonstrate its own reliability. It lets us tell you a service is not for you, or that the free open-source option is better than the paid one, or that we scored something 8.75 and only measured 62% of it. A page that earns a commission on your signup cannot write those sentences, and mostly doesn’t.
What you should still be sceptical about
- Absence of a commission is not absence of bias. We chose the criteria and the weights. We decided that a service you cannot audit scores worse than one you can. That is a judgment, and you may weigh it differently — the methodology spells out where the method is weak so you can discount it yourself.
- The rest of the site is not this section. News, guides and market pages are separate from the ratings and are not covered by the no-affiliate rule stated here. The rules on this page are about the ratings section specifically.
- Check the numbers, don’t trust them. Every figure links to the source it came from. If one looks wrong, the evidence link goes to the provider’s page, not ours.
