Crypto.com Card vs Coinbase Card

Coinbase Card and Crypto.com Card tie at 9.34/10 in the CoinPulse crypto cards ranking (data collected October 19, 2026), third and fourth of 15. Their four criterion scores are identical, with 100% measured for both. They even lost points in the same place: both scored 7 on latency, at 372 ms and 375 ms. The data offers no measured reason to prefer one, so the choice comes down to things the score does not weigh: fees, rewards, availability and your existing exchange account.

Why they tie

  • Latency is the only deduction for both. At 372 ms and 375 ms against public API endpoints, both land in band 7. That costs each 0.44 points against Wirex and Bitpanda Card at the top. A 3 ms difference is noise.
  • Track record: both clear the top band. Crypto.com Card is dated from the card's October 2018 launch; Coinbase Card's 2019 launch has no month on record, so it counts from July 1. Neither date changes the score.
  • The listed order (#3, #4) is not a measured difference.

These scores are for Coinbase Card, the debit card dated from its 2019 launch. They do not cover the newer Coinbase One Card, and they do not rank the Crypto.com and Coinbase exchanges, which are rated separately in the crypto exchanges ranking.

How their status feeds differ (unscored)

90-day feed to Oct 19, 2026 Crypto.com Card Coinbase Card
Incidents logged 6.67 per 30 days 32.61 per 30 days (feed covers 46 of 90 days)
Median time to resolution 181 min 82 min
Status at collection Operational Operational

Read this with care. Coinbase's feed (status.coinbase.com) is company-wide and covers far more than the card. CoinPulse shows the same figures for Coinbase Bridge in the bridges category. A higher incident count here mostly reflects how much Coinbase logs, not how often the card fails. The feed also returns only its 50 most recent incidents, so 44 of the 90 days are blank. That is why incident figures are context, not score.

What neither score covers

  • Fees, FX spread and spending limits: not scored.
  • Rewards: Crypto.com's card benefits have historically been tied to staking its CRO token, and Coinbase's card has offered crypto rewards on spending. Both programs change and neither is scored. Check current terms. The crypto card guide explains the trade-offs.
  • Availability by country or state: not scored.
  • Custody, fraud protection, disputes, licensing: not scored. Company background: Coinbase · Crypto.com.

Which fits which reader

  • You already hold crypto on Coinbase or Crypto.com: the practical choice is usually the card linked to the account you already use. The ratings give no reason to switch.
  • You want the longer operating record: Crypto.com Card, at 8.0 years against 7.3, both counted from each card's own launch.
  • Looking for something that scores higher on measured data? Wirex and Bitpanda Card score 9.78, ahead by one latency band. See Wirex vs Crypto.com Card and Coinbase Card vs Nexo Card.
