What is DeFindex?
DeFindex is a yield-vault platform built for the Stellar network and its Soroban smart-contract environment. It lets users deposit into automated vaults that allocate capital into yield strategies and compound the returns. Our data shows about $19.6M in tracked deposits on a single chain, and it ranks 11th of 15 in our Yield aggregators category. At least two security reviews surfaced in our checks.
The vault model
A depositor supplies an asset and receives a share of the vault, while the underlying strategy deploys the pooled capital and reinvests rewards. This gives Stellar users a hands-off way to earn on assets that might otherwise sit idle, at the cost of trusting the vault's strategy code. DeFindex is notable partly for bringing this vault pattern, long established on Ethereum-style chains, to Stellar's Soroban environment, where the surrounding DeFi ecosystem is still comparatively young.
What we measured
- Deposits: roughly $19.6M tracked.
- Audits: at least two reviews found, a positive for a young protocol.
- Age: about 0.5 years observed, a very short history.
- Responsiveness: app latency near 92 ms.
- Chains: 1 (Stellar).
Risks to weigh
DeFindex is early in its life. Audits are encouraging, but roughly half a year of observed history means very few market cycles survived, and audited contracts still carry smart-contract risk in the vault and any underlying venue. Building on a newer smart-contract environment can also mean less battle-tested tooling, thinner liquidity in the strategies a vault can reach, and fewer independent eyes on the surrounding infrastructure. Those are ecosystem-level risks that sit alongside the vault's own code, and they are worth weighing separately from how well the vault itself is written. Yields vary and we do not publish them. We found no dedicated public status page during our review.
Who it is for
DeFindex suits Stellar users who want audited, automated yield within that ecosystem and are comfortable with an early-stage product still establishing a track record. It is less suited to users who require a long history or multi-chain reach, or who are not comfortable being early adopters on a developing platform where much of the surrounding tooling is still maturing.
