SolvBTC LSTs are yield-bearing Bitcoin tokens from Solv Protocol. The idea is to turn BTC into a liquid, reward-earning token that can be used across DeFi rather than sitting idle.
How does it work?
You deposit Bitcoin and receive a liquid token that represents a yield-generating BTC position. Because it is transferable, it can be moved and used elsewhere while the underlying strategy runs. Our data records the product across 2 chains with about $77.5M in total value locked, a track record near 1.9 years, and app latency near 227ms.
A key point with yield-bearing Bitcoin tokens is that the yield has to come from somewhere. Unlike simply holding BTC, the return depends on an underlying strategy whose sources and risks you should understand before depositing. Where and how that yield is generated matters just as much as the headline rate, and it is not something our ratings capture.
What are the risks and gaps?
Our review did not record a completed third-party audit for this entry, which is an important gap; confirm current audit status before depositing. As a liquid Bitcoin token, it also carries depeg risk against the underlying BTC, and it depends on the strategy and custody arrangements behind the yield. Bitcoin yield products are relatively young, so mechanics are less proven than long-running staking. There is no public status page in our data.
Who might consider it?
- BTC holders seeking a liquid, yield-bearing token who are comfortable with a smaller, newer product.
- Users who will take the time to understand where the yield actually comes from before depositing.
It is not for holders who want an audited, large-scale protocol or who are uneasy about custody and peg risk. If you cannot clearly explain how a yield is generated, that is a signal to slow down rather than deposit, because opaque yield is one of the most common sources of loss in DeFi.
Our rating
SolvBTC LSTs score 4.72/10 and rank 12/15 in our liquid restaking category. Multi-chain reach helps, but the missing audit record, modest scale and lack of a status page hold the score down. We do not measure yield, fees or market cap; check current terms on Solv's site.
