ChangeHero explained
ChangeHero is a registration-free instant exchange that swaps between a wide range of cryptocurrencies and sends the result to your own wallet. It ranks ninth of the 15 instant exchangers we track and has a multi-year record behind it.
The swap flow
You choose a pair, send your deposit, and ChangeHero sources and forwards the counter-asset, taking short custody in the middle. As with the category generally, the swap depends on the operator delivering, and a delay becomes a support ticket rather than an on-chain reversal. Fixed and floating rate options are common; check which you are accepting.
Measured signals
- Track record: about eight and a half years of operating history by our records.
- Latency: our probe measured roughly 204 ms.
- Status transparency: no dedicated public status page was found.
Caveats
Beginning a swap needs no account, but verification can be requested on flagged transactions. We do not verify fees or rates. Since swaps are irreversible, confirm the destination address and start small on unfamiliar pairs.
What longevity does and does not prove
A multi-year operating history is one of the more meaningful signals in this category, because instant exchangers that mishandle funds or vanish rarely last long. It suggests a service has processed a lot of swaps and stuck around. What it does not prove is current security, solvency, or how a specific edge case will be handled today, since none of those are guaranteed by age alone. We weight track record heavily precisely because it is hard to fake over years, but we pair it with our own live measurements rather than treating tenure as a clean bill of health.
Who it suits
Users wanting a straightforward, no-signup swap with a long operating history. Less suitable for anyone who needs published uptime data or guaranteed recourse.
