What is Fusion by IPOR?
Fusion is the vault and allocation layer built by the IPOR project. It lets curators run automated vaults that spread deposits across multiple DeFi yield sources, rebalancing toward better opportunities and compounding returns. Our data puts it on 11 chains with roughly $57.8M in tracked deposits, and it ranks 7th of 15 in our Yield aggregators category.
Allocation-vault mechanics
Rather than committing to a single strategy, a Fusion vault can distribute capital across several underlying protocols and shift the mix over time. A depositor holds a share token while the vault handles routing and compounding. This flexibility can improve risk-adjusted yield, but it also widens the surface area, since the vault is exposed to every venue it allocates into.
What we measured
- Reach: 11 chains, strong multi-chain availability.
- Deposits: about $57.8M tracked.
- Audits: at least two security reviews surfaced in our checks.
- Responsiveness: a very fast app response around 23 ms.
- Age: roughly 1.9 years since we first observed it.
Risks to weigh
Because Fusion vaults allocate dynamically, the depositor is trusting both the vault contracts and the curator's decisions. A curator can rotate into a riskier venue in pursuit of higher yield, and any exploit or depeg in an underlying protocol flows back to the vault. Smart-contract risk therefore compounds across the whole allocation set, and the risk you accept at deposit can drift as the curator rebalances. Reviewing a specific vault's mandate, its curator, and its current allocations matters more here than it does for a fixed single-strategy product. Yields are variable and we do not publish them. We found no dedicated public status page during our review.
Who it is for
Fusion suits DeFi users who want audited, curator-managed vaults with broad chain coverage and a fast interface, and who understand they are also trusting the curator's allocation choices. It is less suited to users who want a single, fixed, easy-to-inspect strategy, or who are not prepared to re-check a vault's holdings periodically rather than only at the moment they deposit. For hands-off depositors who do not follow their positions closely, a simpler product may be a better match than a dynamically allocated one.
