MEV Capital: DeFi Asset Manager and Morpho Vault Curator Explained

MEV Capital is a DeFi asset manager that curates lending vaults on Morpho and runs funds and managed accounts that deploy crypto into on-chain yield strategies. Despite the name, it is a company, not the "maximal extractable value" concept. Its website is operated by MEV Capital Management Ltd. and lists an office in Vilnius, Lithuania 12. As a curator, MEV Capital chooses which markets a vault lends into and sets caps, but depositors bear the losses. That happened in November 2025, when two of its USDC vaults took haircuts of 3.5% and 12% after the xUSD and deUSD stablecoins collapsed 11.

Who runs MEV Capital

MEV Capital describes itself as an investment and risk-management firm that has worked in DeFi since 2020 2. Its About page says the team works between the UAE and Europe and is led by three General Partners, with more than a dozen core staff in technology, operations and administration 2. The website does not name the partners. The site's Terms identify MEV Capital Management Ltd. as the operator but don't state where it is incorporated 1.

The firm says it manages more than $400 million and curates over 50 vaults on more than 10 blockchains 3. Those are company figures. The amount it curates on Morpho is far smaller (see below).

What a curator does on Morpho and Euler

A Morpho vault pools one asset, such as USDC, and lends it across separate Morpho markets. Each market pairs that asset with one collateral type. Morpho's docs split control into four roles 8:

  • Owner: appoints the curator and the guardian or sentinel.
  • Curator: decides which markets are allowed and sets caps and fees.
  • Allocators: move funds between the allowed markets.
  • Guardian or sentinel: can cut risk or cancel pending changes.

Most curator changes go through a timelock. For most MEV Capital V1 vaults this is three days, which gives depositors time to exit 78.

On Euler, MEV Capital is registered in Euler's label registry as a third-party curator, using multisig wallets to configure vault "clusters" 9. As of October 23, 2026, every MEV Capital cluster in that registry sits under deprecated vaults. These include Ethereum, Sonic, Berachain, BNB Chain and Avalanche 9. A deprecated label means Euler's interface no longer promotes the cluster. It does not mean every vault is empty.

Vaults MEV Capital runs on Morpho

Morpho's API listed MEV Capital as a verified curator, with about $7.5 million under curation on October 23, 2026 6. These were the vaults owned by MEV Capital addresses with the most assets that day 7:

Vault Chain Assets (Oct 23, 2026) Fee
MEV Capital wETH Ethereum ≈ $4.5M, almost all in a wstETH-collateral market 10%
Usual Boosted USDC Ethereum ≈ $1.9M 10%
MEV Capital Elixir USDC Ethereum ≈ $1.9M, all in a deUSD-collateral market 10%
MEV Capital HYPE HyperEVM ≈ $0.8M (lstHYPE, kHYPE collateral) 10%
MEV Capital USDC Arbitrum ≈ $0.65M 0%
MEV CAPITAL USDC (Vault V2) Ethereum ≈ $0.26M 8% performance, 0% management

MEV Capital addresses also appear on Base, Polygon, Unichain, Katana and Robinhood Chain, but its vaults there held little or nothing on the snapshot date 67. The curator fee is a share of the interest the vault earns, not of your deposit.

Other businesses

  • Fund. A Luxembourg AIF with stablecoin, ETH and BTC share classes, distributed by Belem Capital. It is open to accredited investors with a €250,000 minimum, and charges a 2% management fee and a 20% performance fee 4.
  • Segregated managed accounts. These are for allocations above $1 million. The client keeps custody through a multisig or MPC wallet. Fees are 1% management and 20% performance 4.
  • Restaking vaults. MEV Capital runs vaults on Symbiotic and EigenLayer and uses its own method to score slashing risk 4. See restaking.
  • Lithuanian fund. MEV Capital's newsroom reports that Lighthouse Asset Management launched the MEV Capital Stablecoin Enhanced Yield Fund for professional investors 5.

MEV Capital does not publish a separate curator risk-policy document. Its Solutions page describes "in-house methodology" and on-chain monitoring in general terms 4.

Incident record

1 outcome unclear

April 2026: rsETH bridge exploit. Kelp's rsETH was drained through its bridge on April 18, 2026. Morpho said its total rsETH exposure was about $1 million in two isolated markets 15. No MEV Capital exposure was found in the sources reviewed, and its current Morpho allocations hold no rsETH 7.

November 2025: Stream Finance xUSD and Elixir deUSD collapse.

outcome unclear
  • What happened. Stream Finance disclosed losses, and its xUSD stablecoin depegged. Elixir's deUSD, which had lent heavily to Stream, followed. MEV Capital said it had Stream-linked exposure on four lending markets and one vault across three L2 networks, with about $34 million "impacted" 10.
  • Depositor losses. Per MEV Capital's own posts, as reported by Protos, its Ethereum USDC vault took a 3.5% haircut and its Arbitrum USDC vault a 12% haircut 11. Another report put the Ethereum vault's bad debt at about 3.6% after the sdeUSD/USDC market was removed 12. On Arbitrum, the Arbitrum Foundation recorded about $700,000 of bad debt in the MEV Capital USDC vault and stopped ARB incentive rewards for it 13.
  • Legacy deUSD vault. The Elixir USDC vault was launched in 2024 to lend USDC against deUSD, partly through a market with a hardcoded 1:1 price feed 14. Elixir later retired deUSD and opened a USDC compensation process 12. On October 23, 2026, Morpho's API still showed about $1.9 million in this vault, all supplied to a deUSD-collateral market 7.
  • Verdict. Losses were realized and passed to depositors in at least two vaults. No full recovery has been documented.
