What Is Lista DAO? Lending, slisBNB and lisUSD on BNB Chain

Lista DAO is a decentralized finance protocol, mainly on BNB Chain, that brings three services together. Lista Lending lets people lend and borrow through vaults and isolated markets. slisBNB is a liquid staking token for BNB. And lisUSD is a stablecoin you mint by locking collateral 1. The protocol is governed by holders of the LISTA token, which launched on Binance on June 20, 2024 1. It is a non-custodial set of smart contracts, not a company account. The terms bar US persons from using its interface 2.

Who is behind Lista DAO

Lista DAO describes itself as a DAO governed through the LISTA token 1. Its docs say Binance Labs, now YZi Labs, made a $10 million strategic investment 1. The Terms of Use do not name a company. They refer to "Interface maintainers," say the interface is deemed based in Seychelles, and apply Seychelles law 2. Treat the protocol as code governed by token holders. There is no identifiable company you can hold to account.

Products

  • Lista Lending. Launched in April 2025. Lenders deposit into vaults that spread liquidity across lending markets, and borrowers post collateral in a specific market 13. Lista runs its own vaults, and third parties can create vaults without permission 1.
  • slisBNB. A liquid staking token for BNB. Its value grows against BNB as staking rewards accrue 6.
  • lisUSD. A USD-pegged stablecoin minted against over-collateralized deposits such as BNB, ETH, slisBNB and wBETH. The docs say it follows a MakerDAO-style model 8.
  • Smart Lending and Swap. Collateral sits in liquidity pools on Lista's own DEX. Depositors can borrow USD1 or BNB and also earn trading fees 1.
  • RWA markets and credit. Separate sections cover real-world-asset markets and Lista Credit. They are outside this profile's scope.

How Lista Lending works

Each market pairs one collateral asset with one loan asset. Each has its own liquidation threshold, called the liquidation loan-to-value (LLTV) 3. Vaults move lender deposits across markets based on supply and demand 3.

  • Lenders earn a share of borrower interest. They can withdraw at any time, but only if the market has idle liquidity 3.
  • Borrowers can repay at any time. They can withdraw collateral only if their loan stays under the LLTV 3.
  • Liquidation. When a loan nears its LLTV, the contract takes part of the position and swaps it to repay the debt. If that fails, the position goes to a "Liquidation Zone" where anyone can buy it at a discount 3.

Third-party vaults are run by outside curators. The risk you take on depends on which markets the curator chooses.

How slisBNB works

You stake BNB and receive slisBNB. Lista delegates the BNB to its validators, and the slisBNB/BNB exchange rate rises as rewards come in 6. See liquid staking for how this model works.

Unstaking takes time. When you redeem slisBNB for BNB through the protocol, you wait 7 to 15 days before you can claim 7. Selling slisBNB on a DEX is faster, but the price may sit below the redemption value.

Fees

Product Fee Source
Lista Lending 10% of borrowing interest (adjustable from 0% to 25%) 4
Lista's own lending vaults 10% management fee; half goes to the Lending Risk Fund 5
slisBNB 5% of staking rewards to the protocol, after validator commission 6

Third-party vaults can set their own fees. Every action also costs BNB Chain gas.

lisUSD and liquidation risk

You mint lisUSD by locking collateral. A position is liquidated if its collateral ratio falls below 150%. You keep the lisUSD you borrowed, but liquidators take the collateral 8. The FAQ warns that lisUSD may drift from $1 in either direction when markets are stressed 8. See stablecoin depeg.

Security and safeguards

Lista publishes audits from 2022 through October 2026. The auditors include CertiK, Cantina, Spearbit, BlockSec, OpenZeppelin, PeckShield, SlowMist and others 9. The docs index also lists a bug bounty on Immunefi 10. Audits do not guarantee safety.

The Lending Risk Fund covers losses from exploits or security breaches in vaults that Lista runs itself. That includes liquidation losses and bad debt. It does not cover market volatility, user mistakes, third-party vaults or risks from external protocols 5. The docs do not publish its size.

Who can use it

The Terms require you to confirm you are not a US person and not located in the United States. They also exclude residents of territories under US, UK, EU or UN sanctions. Using a VPN to get around these rules is prohibited 2. You connect your own wallet and are responsible for its keys 2.
