P2P.org: What the Staking Provider Does, How It Works and What It Charges

P2P.org is a staking infrastructure company that runs validators on more than 40 proof-of-stake blockchains. Institutions, wallets, exchanges and individuals can delegate or stake to those validators and earn network rewards 1. Its services are non-custodial. P2P.org operates the validator, but you keep the keys to your tokens or withdrawal address 2. In exchange, it takes a share of the rewards, for example 5% for native Ethereum staking and 7% on Solana as of October 2026 45. The website terms are with an entity called P2P Staking and are governed by Cayman Islands law 2.

Who is behind P2P.org

P2P.org has operated validators publicly since at least 2020. In December 2020, under the name "P2P Validator," it applied to become a node operator for Lido. At the time it described a team of 20–50 people running validators on networks including Tezos, Cosmos, Polkadot and Solana 8.

Startup database RootData lists:

  • a 2018 founding, with Konstantin Lomashuk as founder and Alex Esin as CEO;
  • a $23 million Series A in April 2023, with Sygnum, Jump Crypto and Bybit among the investors 9.

The company's own site states several figures. These are company claims, not audited figures 1:

  • more than $10 billion in assets under validation;
  • about $300 million in rewards delivered in 2025;
  • more than 130 institutional clients.

The website Terms of Use name the counterparty only as "P2P Staking." Disputes go to the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands, or to arbitration seated there at P2P's option 2. The terms do not give a registered company number.

What P2P.org offers

  • Validator staking. You delegate tokens to P2P.org validators, or on Ethereum fund your own validator with 32 ETH or more. Since Ethereum's Pectra upgrade, a single validator can hold up to 2,048 ETH 14.
  • DVT staking. Ethereum validators can also run on SSV's distributed validator technology. With DVT, one validator's key duties are split across several operators to reduce single-machine failure risk 4.
  • Restaking. P2P.org runs an EigenLayer operator. ETH stakers can opt in to restaking to secure additional services for extra rewards and extra risk 46.
  • APIs and white-label products. These include a Staking API, a Staking Data API, the P2P.org Hub dashboard and white-label nodes. They let businesses offer staking under their own brand 15.
  • Stablecoin and DeFi tools. A stablecoin widget and "Stablecoin Activation" offer curated on-chain stablecoin strategies to platforms. Lambda tracks DeFi positions and P&L 1.
  • Trading infrastructure. Syncro Sender routes Solana transactions through P2P.org's staked validators using priority (SWQoS) connections, so that they reach the block leader faster. Syncro data streams cover Sui, Hyperliquid and Solana 17.

How staking with P2P.org works

On most delegated proof-of-stake networks, such as Solana, Cosmos or Polkadot, the process looks like this 5:

  1. You keep tokens in your own wallet.
  2. You sign a delegation to a P2P.org validator.
  3. The network pays rewards, and the validator's fee (commission) is deducted on-chain.

On Ethereum, native staking works differently 34:

  1. Validators are funded with 32 ETH or more.
  2. The withdrawal address you control is where principal and rewards return.
  3. P2P.org runs the validator keys that sign blocks.

P2P.org quotes a "net reward rate" (NRR), meaning what remains after its fee, alongside the gross rate (GRR) 5. In October 2026 its Ethereum page showed 2.9% NRR for native staking 4. These figures move with network conditions and are not guaranteed. For background, see how crypto staking works.

Businesses can be asked for KYC, KYB or source-of-funds documents. The terms also require users to confirm they are not subject to US, UK, EU or UN sanctions 2.

P2P.org fees

P2P.org charges a percentage of staking rewards, not of your principal. Published rates as of October 23, 2026 45:

Product Fee for services
Ethereum native staking 5% of rewards
Ethereum DVT staking (SSV) 7% of rewards
Solana 7% of rewards

Illustration (assumptions stated):

  • Stake: 32 ETH, earning a gross 3.05% a year.
  • Gross rewards: about 0.976 ETH.
  • Fee at 5%: about 0.049 ETH.
  • Net to you: about 0.927 ETH, before gas and any MEV variation.

P2P.org says holders of more than $500,000 may receive special rates 1. Other networks have their own commission, which is shown on each network page.

Risks and limitations

  • Slashing. If a validator misbehaves, a network can destroy part of the staked principal, not just the rewards. P2P.org's own terms say this 23. P2P.org says it has had zero slashing events over seven years. That is a company statement 1.
  • Restaking adds risk. EigenLayer services can impose their own slashing conditions on top of Ethereum's.
  • Unstaking delays. Exits follow each network's rules. Ethereum uses an exit queue, and Cosmos-family chains often use multi-week unbonding periods. P2P.org cannot speed these up.
  • Outdated legal text. P2P.org's Ethereum Staking Terms still say staked ETH cannot be withdrawn. That wording predates Ethereum's 2023 withdrawal upgrade 3, so read the current terms carefully or ask P2P.org.
  • Smart contracts. ETH deposit and fee-distribution contracts are separate code. P2P.org cites MixBytes audits 1, but an audit is not a guarantee.
  • Impersonation. Staking providers are common phishing targets. Only sign transactions from p2p.org's own app, and never share a seed phrase. See crypto phishing.
