What Is JustCryptos? JUST's BTC, ETH, LTC and DOGE Tokens on TRON

JustCryptos is the JUST ecosystem's set of tokens that represent other blockchains' coins on TRON. The tokens are bitcoin, ether, litecoin and dogecoin "on TRON" 1. They let TRON apps such as JustLend and SUN.io use these assets as TRC-20 tokens.

JUST says the cross-chain mechanism is "provided by premium platforms such as Poloniex" 1, and DefiLlama describes the backing assets as stored on Poloniex 2. That makes JustCryptos a custodial, issuer-controlled wrapper, not a trustless bridge 3.

How JustCryptos works

Each JustCryptos asset is a TRC-20 token on TRON whose supply is managed by an owner address 13:

  1. Issuance. The contract's owner creates new tokens with an issue function. Those tokens go to the owner first and are then distributed 3.
  2. "Authorized" supply. JUST reports circulating supply as total supply minus a "Treasury" balance. Tokens held in the treasury are minted but not yet released 1.
  3. Backing. JUST describes the link to the original chain only in general terms: the cross-chain mechanism is provided by "platforms such as Poloniex" 1. DefiLlama's listing says the assets are stored on, and can be swapped on, Poloniex 2. No public reserve addresses or proof-of-reserves page was found on the JUST site.
  4. Redemption. The owner can burn tokens it holds with a redeem function 3. JUST notes that ETH on TRON can be converted on Poloniex or swapped on TRON DEXs such as SUN.IO 1. No public step-by-step mint or redeem process for retail users was found.

This differs from bridges that verify messages on-chain or use independent validator sets. Here the user relies on the issuer and the named custodial platform to hold an equivalent amount of the original coin and to honor conversions. Tether's USDT works on a similar issuer-controlled pattern for dollars.

Supported tokens and supply

As of October 23, 2026, JUST's page lists the following authorized amounts on TRON 1:

Token Authorized on TRON TRON contract
BTC (on TRON) 17,545 TN3W4H6rK2ce4vX9YnFQHwKENnHjoxb3m9
ETH (on TRON) 485,527 THb4CqiFdwNHsWsQCs4JhzwjMWys4aqCbF
LTC (on TRON) 95,035 TR3DLthpnDdCGabhVDbD3VMsiJoCXY3bZd
DOGE (on TRON) 30,571,792 THbVQp8kMjStKNnf2iCY6NEzThKMK5aBHg

The same page also lists AINFT contracts on Ethereum and TRON. AINFT is a separate token, not a wrapped coin 1. JUST labels ETH on TRON a "community-driven" program 1.

Before acting on a token, check the contract address against JUST's page. Look-alike tokens with the same ticker are common on TRON DEXs.

Who controls the tokens

The owner holds broad powers. SlowMist's September 2020 audit of the BTC-on-TRON contract describes what the owner address can do 3:

  • Mint and burn supply (issue, redeem).
  • Pause all transfers and approvals.
  • Blacklist addresses so they cannot send tokens, and destroy a blacklisted address's balance.
  • Charge a transfer fee within hard-coded caps, paid to the owner.
  • Deprecate the contract and redirect calls to a new one.
  • Transfer ownership to a new address.

SlowMist marked the contract "Passed" and recommended putting it under a multisig owner to reduce the risk of a single compromised key 3. The audit covers code from 2020 for the BTC token only. It says nothing about how reserves are held. DefiLlama's audit field for JustCryptos is empty 2.

Risks to understand

  • Custodian risk. The tokens are only as good as the backing held by the issuer or platform. Poloniex, the named provider, lost over $100 million from a hot wallet on November 10, 2023 4. Justin Sun said Poloniex would cover the losses from its own funds 4. Public reports reviewed do not say whether JustCryptos backing was involved.
  • Freeze and seizure. Blacklisting and balance destruction are built into the contract 3. Funds can be frozen without the holder's consent.
  • No public redemption terms. No retail redemption guarantee, fee schedule or timeline was found 1. Exiting usually means selling on a DEX or exchange at market price.
  • Price gaps. A wrapped token can trade below the underlying coin if confidence in the backing weakens.
  • Contract changes. The deprecate-and-redirect function lets the owner swap in new logic 3.

Questions about JustCryptos

Is JustCryptos BTC the same as bitcoin?
No. It is a TRC-20 token on TRON that represents bitcoin. Its value depends on the issuer and custodial platform holding real BTC 13.
Who issues JustCryptos tokens?
They are part of the JUST ecosystem on TRON, with the cross-chain mechanism described as provided by platforms such as Poloniex 1. JUST's page does not name a legal issuing entity.
Can JustCryptos tokens be frozen?
Yes. The contract owner can pause transfers, blacklist addresses and destroy blacklisted balances 3.
Has JustCryptos been audited?
SlowMist audited the BTC-on-TRON contract in September 2020 3. No reserve audit or attestation was found.
