What Is OneKey Wallet? Hardware Models, App and Fees

OneKey's site credits the brand to ONEKEY LIMITED, with copyright dating from 2019 ¹. Its help center says it has set up local companies in several jurisdictions and gives registration details only on request ³. The Block described OneKey as Hong Kong-based in 2023, with a $20 million raise in 2022 ¹⁰. OneKey lists Coinbase Ventures, YZi Labs, Dragonfly and Ribbit Capital as backers ².

The Pro models can work fully air-gapped. You sign by scanning QR codes with the device's camera instead of connecting it ¹². The Classic 1S is a smaller button-operated device. The OneKey App is a free software wallet. You can use it on its own or with a OneKey device holding the keys. It covers Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Kaspa and many other networks ². The help center also has migration guides for users moving from MetaMask, Phantom, Ledger, Trezor and other wallets.

Two features make it more than a wallet:

• Trade (swap and bridge). The app gathers quotes from outside providers and routes your order to the best effective rate. For same-chain swaps these include 1inch, 0x, CoW Swap, Jupiter and OKX DEX. For cross-chain swaps they include LI.FI, SwapKit, NEAR Intents and Changelly. The list changes ⁵.
• OneKey Perps. This is perpetual-futures trading built on Hyperliquid. It is unavailable in some regions. Where it is blocked, you can still close existing positions and move assets out ⁴⁹.

OneKey ran a crypto card until it discontinued the card in September 2024. Former users recover remaining balances through a support ticket ⁸.

The hardware is a one-time purchase, and the app is free ¹². Costs arise when you trade inside the app:

• Swaps and bridges: OneKey adds a service fee that is already built into the quote. It does not publish a fixed rate and says rates may change ⁴. To see the full cost of a trade, compare what you send with the quoted amount you will receive. Network gas is shown separately before you confirm ⁴.
• Perps: you pay Hyperliquid's volume-tiered trading fees plus a OneKey builder fee ⁴.
• Shipping: standard shipping is free on orders of $99 or more in most regions. A flat $28 applies to some listed areas. Orders from OneKey's EU, US and mainland China warehouses avoid import duties ⁶.

Sending crypto from the wallet costs only the network fee.

You can return a OneKey device within 14 days only if it is unopened and has never been initialized or used to hold crypto. You pay the return shipping ⁶. Every device carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. When a fault is confirmed, OneKey replaces the device and may ask you to destroy the original ⁶. OneKey Care is an optional extended warranty from ONEKEY LIMITED. It is not accident or loss insurance ⁷.

OneKey's security case rests on these points ¹:

• Secure elements: EAL6+ secure-element chips, four in the Pro models and one in the Classic 1S.
• Open source: code published on GitHub.
• Secure boot and SignGuard: SignGuard is OneKey's on-device check of transaction details.
• Audits and certifications: a SlowMist audit and ISO/IEC 27001 certification for the company.

These are company statements. An audit or certification describes a process at a point in time and does not guarantee that funds cannot be lost.

Your recovery phrase is the real backup ². Anyone who has it can take your funds, and OneKey staff will never ask for it. Buy only from shop.onekey.so or an authorized reseller ².
