StealthEX is an instant cryptocurrency exchange. You choose two coins, send a deposit to a one-time address, and receive the other coin in your own wallet. You don't open an account, and the service keeps no balances for you 16. StealthEX routes each swap to partner exchanges and liquidity providers 6. Its AML policy names the operator as StealthEx Ltd, and its Terms are governed by English law 15. Two things matter before you swap: the fee is built into the quote rather than listed separately, and a swap can be held for identity checks even without sign-up 23.
The AML/KYC policy (last updated March 2024) defines the company as StealthEx Ltd. It says the rules are mainly based on the UK's 2017 Money Laundering Regulations 5. The current Terms of Use (July 2026) refer to the operator only as "StealthEx." They choose the law of England and Wales and the courts of London for disputes 1. Neither document gives a company number or registered address. Readers who need the legal entity should ask support to confirm it in writing.
StealthEX dates its launch to 2018 and marked its eighth anniversary on October 6, 2026 89. It describes itself as a technical facilitator. It says it offers no custody, lending, margin or investment services 1.
The FAQ puts a typical swap at 5 to 30 minutes, depending on the networks and partner availability 6. You can't fund one swap from two different wallets 6.
StealthEX doesn't publish a flat percentage. The Terms describe a variable service fee, charged as a percentage of the coins you send. It can change with trade size, network conditions and liquidity, and part of it may go to affiliates 2. The company says the quote already includes its fee, partner trading fees and the network fee, so the estimate is the figure to compare 6.
Your total cost has three parts:
If a swap fails, the deposit is refunded minus any service, network or third-party fees already incurred 2. Card purchases carry the fiat provider's own charges 4.
You can swap without identity checks in most cases, but not always. The FAQ says KYC is needed "in rare cases," for example when a wallet is blacklisted by a liquidity provider or a transaction looks suspicious 6. The July 2026 Terms are broader. StealthEX may ask for ID, source of funds or the purpose of a transaction before, during or after a swap 3. While a review is open, the coins are not exchanged or released. They may be refunded or, where the law requires it, handed to authorities 3.
Card purchases go through third parties, which run their own checks. The FAQ says Mercuryo, Simplex and Guardarian allow purchases without KYC up to $700 in total per user, and require it above that 46.
The Terms require you to be at least 18. You must not be a resident of, located in, or accessing the service from a Restricted Jurisdiction 1. StealthEX defines those as places under comprehensive sanctions, places where the FATF has called for countermeasures, and places where the service is otherwise prohibited. It can update that list at any time, and it does not publish it as a named list 1. Sanctioned persons, politically exposed persons and their families and close associates are also barred. Using VPNs or false location data to get around restrictions breaches the Terms 1.
StealthEX holds no balance for you. Your coins sit in your own wallet before and after the swap 1. You still trust the service and its liquidity partners with each deposit while the order runs. The Terms list partner failure, token freezes by issuers and stablecoin depegs as risks the company doesn't cover 1. See self-custody for how this compares with holding coins on an exchange.
