Bitsgap: How the Crypto Trading Bot Platform Works, What It Costs and Who Runs It
Bitsgap is a subscription software service that runs automated trading bots and a trading terminal on your existing crypto exchange accounts. You connect an exchange with an API key that can trade and read balances but cannot withdraw. Bitsgap's bots then place orders for you, while your funds stay on the exchange 156. As of October 23, 2026, it supports 17 exchange connections, including Binance, Coinbase, Kraken and OKX. Paid plans cost $29 to $149 a month, and there is a limited free tier 34. The current Terms name the operator as Bitsgap Software Solutions FZCO in Dubai 1. Bitsgap sells tools, not results: its terms say it gives no trading advice and is not liable for bot outcomes 1.

Who runs Bitsgap
Bitsgap began in 2016 as a crypto arbitrage calculator. By its own timeline it moved to a cloud trading platform in 2017, launched GRID bots in 2019, DCA bots in 2022 and mobile apps plus an AI assistant in 2024 7. A third-party review dates the public launch to February 2018 10. The company says it has more than 100 team members, led by CEO Max Kalmykov 7.
The legal setup has changed over time. Older terms named Bitsgap Holding OÜ, an Estonian company registered in March 2016, with Estonian law and courts 9. The Estonian business register now shows a deletion notice for that company 8. The current Terms and Conditions name Bitsgap Software Solutions – FZCO, registered in the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones. They apply UAE law, send disputes to UAE courts and require claims within six months 1.
Bitsgap is not an exchange, broker or financial institution, and its terms say so 1. It is software that sends orders to exchanges on your behalf. The exchange you connect is responsible for your funds, KYC and regulatory status.
How Bitsgap works
- Create a Bitsgap account. Bitsgap may ask for identity documents in some cases 1.
- Create an API key on your exchange with trading and balance-reading permissions only. Bitsgap's system rejects keys that allow withdrawals 6.
- Paste the key into Bitsgap. You can now trade manually from Bitsgap's terminal or start bots on that exchange.
- Configure a bot. Choose a pair, an investment amount and the strategy settings, then backtest it on historical data if your plan allows.
- Monitor and stop. Bots keep running until you stop them or they hit your take-profit or stop-loss settings. Orders and positions live on the exchange.
An API key that can trade but not withdraw still matters. A stolen key cannot pull coins off the exchange, but it can place bad trades. Use 2FA on both Bitsgap and the exchange, restrict keys to trading, and revoke keys you no longer use. Bitsgap supports 2FA and FIDO2 hardware keys on its own accounts 5.
Bots and tools
Bitsgap's current product menu lists these tools 37:
- GRID bot. Places a ladder of buy and sell orders across a price range and profits from oscillation. It can lose money if the price leaves the range.
- DCA bot. Buys in steps as price falls and sells at a target, the dollar-cost-averaging idea applied to short-term trading.
- BTD, QFL and LOOP bots. Variants that buy dips, trade bounces off support levels or cycle orders.
- Futures bots (COMBO, DCA Futures). Leveraged derivatives strategies, available on Advanced and Pro plans. Liquidation risk applies.
- Trading terminal and smart orders. Manual trading across connected exchanges with order types such as trailing, OCO and TWAP. See order types.
- AI assistant and AI-launched bots. These suggest or launch bot setups; their output is not a forecast.
- Backtesting. Up to 30, 180 or 365 days of history depending on plan.

Plans and pricing
Prices from Bitsgap's pricing page, checked October 23, 2026 3:
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually (per month) | Active bots | Backtesting | Notable extras |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 20 demo bots; 3 COMBO bots on Evedex; no live GRID/DCA | n/a | Manual trading, AI chat |
| Basic | $29 | $23 | 3 GRID, 10 DCA, 3 COMBO (Evedex) | 30 days | AI assistant, smart orders |
| Advanced | $69 | $55 | 10 GRID, 50 DCA, 10 COMBO (Evedex) | 180 days | Futures bots, trailing GRID |
| Pro | $149 | $119 | 50 GRID, 250 DCA, 50 COMBO (Evedex) | 365 days | AI portfolio mode, GRID take-profit |
New accounts get a 7-day Pro trial once, with no credit card required 13.
Costs beyond the subscription: every bot order pays the exchange's own trading fees. Grid and DCA bots can place many small orders, so these fees add up. Futures bots also pay funding rates. See exchange trading fees.
Refunds (policy effective October 8, 2025) 2:
- A monthly payment can be refunded in full only if you ask within 7 days and have not used the paid services in that time. Demo trading does not count.
- Annual plans can get a pro-rata refund for unused months if you ask within 180 days of payment.
- Plans paid in crypto cannot be refunded.
- App Store and Google Play purchases are refunded through Apple or Google.
- A refund can be granted only once per user.
Supported exchanges
As of October 23, 2026, Bitsgap lists these connections 4: Aster, Binance, Binance US, Bitfinex, Bitget, Coinbase, Crypto.com, Evedex, Gate, Gemini, HTX, Hyperliquid, Kraken, KuCoin, OKX, Poloniex and WhiteBIT. Futures support varies by exchange. Bitsgap added futures on Kraken, Coinbase, Aster, EVEDEX and KuCoin in 2025 7.
Whether you can use a given exchange depends on that exchange's rules for your country. Connecting through Bitsgap does not change them. Profiles of several of these exchanges are available, for example Binance, Kraken, OKX and Coinbase.
Risks and limitations
- Strategy risk. Bots follow rules. A falling market, a breakout from a grid range or a liquidation on futures can produce losses, and backtests do not guarantee future results.
- Liability limits. Bitsgap's terms exclude liability for bot results and cap any liability at the fees you paid 1.
- API-key and account risk. Funds stay on the exchange, but a compromised Bitsgap or exchange account can still place trades 56.
- Exchange risk. An outage, freeze or insolvency at the connected exchange hits your funds directly. Bitsgap holds nothing it could return.
- Jurisdiction. The contract is governed by UAE law with a six-month window for claims 1.
Incident record
No security breach, API-key leak or loss of user funds attributed to Bitsgap was found in the sources checked as of October 23, 2026.
No security incident found in the sources checked as of October 23, 2026. That is a dated observation, not a promise that none has happened.
Hacks in DefiLlama’s public database are also scored as the security record on the Bitsgap rating page.
